The final rankings of the HPV World Championships 2025 will be elaborated considering various factors to ensure fair competition and value every participation.
Participants will be classified based on:
As indicated in the official regulations, in principle, the creation of a specific classification for a category and class combination would require the presence of at least three participants. However, in order to value the participation of all categories, particularly those like the female category or the Senior category (which has a very high number of participants), the organization has decided to proceed with the creation and awarding of classes regardless of the minimum number of competitors. This will ensure that every athlete, regardless of the popularity of their category, has the opportunity to compete for a position in their class.
The overall classification (by category and class, and absolute by age) will be determined through a point system, where the winner is the one who accumulates the lowest score. Points are awarded for each individual race based on placement and relative performance to other competitors. The lower the placement and the better the relative performance, the fewer points will be awarded.
We invite all athletes to consult the complete regulations for a thorough understanding of the point calculation formulas and specific criteria.
